MSNBC often portrays Democratic billionaires favourably, emphasising their support for progressive causes while criticising Republican philanthropists for potential misuse of money and continuance of social inequality. Fox News, on the other hand, praises Republican billionaires while presenting Democratic philanthropists such as George Soros as destructive to American principles. These opposed media outlets exacerbate ideological differences, impacting public perception, critical thinking, and policy choices.
